WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Emmimah Memorial Charitable Trust focuses heavily on providing financial aid and support to cancer patients and their families. With cancer being a leading cause of death worldwide, the Trust aims to alleviate the financial and emotional stress caused by the illness. We provides financial assistance for cancer treatments, including medications and hospital visits. Over 600 cancer patients and their families have benefited from treatment assistance and nutritional support, with 52 beneficiaries in 2024 alone.
The Trust is committed to providing education and resources to children from single-parent families, sick-parent families, and children whose parents have passed away or are disabled. We helps cover the school fees of children from single-parent or sick-parent families, ensuring they can continue their education without financial barriers. The Trust has supported around 82 children in 2024, helping them access education despite their challenging circumstances
The Trust also cares for elderly widows living alone, providing them with regular food and groceries to ease their financial burden. Monthly grocery supplies are given to elderly women living alone, ensuring that they have the essentials for daily living and reducing their reliance on others. About 33 elderly women have received monthly grocery support in 2024
Emmimah Memorial Charitable Trust empowers women, particularly widows and women suffering from cancer-related bereavement, through vocational training and skill development. The Trust offers free sewing and tailoring classes to women, helping them gain the skills needed to become financially independent. 55 women have benefitted from vocational training, including tailoring, to help them gain financial independence.
FOOD FOR HOMELESS

Every day, the Trust serves nutritious meals to the homeless, ensuring that the most vulnerable in society are cared for and given dignity. The Trust prepares and distributes 100-150 home-cooked meals daily to homeless individuals in various locations across Chennai. Over 18,918 homeless individuals have been served with daily meals in 2024.
